This project entailed the complete reconstruction and realignment of H Street in Sunnyvale to accommodate the construction of Moffett Towers, a major development of Jay Paul Company of San Francisco. Our contract required the demolition and realignment of H. Street while keeping traffic flowing into Lockeed Martin. Once the realignment was complete, new utilities, sewer, water, gas, electrical and irrigation utilities were installed in the new alignment. Final pavement and striping completed the project. A key challenge was to ensure that traffic to and from Lockheed Martin continued to flow at all times, and to work around the numerous security-related utilities already in place at the site. Each day, McGuire and Hester coordinated tasks and timing with the general contractor and owners to ensure compliance with all safety and security requirements while achieving project deadlines.
