In 1984 Kevin started working summers at McGuire and Hester. Over the next nine years, he had many different jobs, including working as a warehouse runner; helping relocate our office/shop from 66th Avenue. to Railroad Avenue; working in the field as a laborer, and working as a part-time Project Engineer on small projects while in college.
After graduating from Oregon State University in Construction Engineering Management in 1993, Kevin started his career at McGuire and Hester as a Project Engineer. He continued working in the field operations as a Project Manager. In 2006 he transitioned from operations to the home office as an Estimator, mainly concentrating on Underground Projects. In 2008, Kevin returned to Field Operations as an Area Manager and oversaw all San Francisco/Peninsula Territory operations. Throughout the next decade, Kevin became an instrumental part of the senior leadership team at McGuire and Hester leading many strategic initiatives and furthering relations within the industry, including serving on the Board of Directors for United Contractors.
In 2022 Kevin's leadership style and aptitude for building strong project teams and client relationships made him the perfect fit to fill the Vice President of Operations role.
