Since the project is on an old landfill, it required an added level of care and expertise. Our grading team was tasked with building stainless steel gabion walls that serve as a large retaining wall as well as a statement landscape architectural feature for the project. These long-lasting structures will prevent erosion, stabilize the soil, and are environmentally friendly.
The majority of the underground work was installed with HDPE fusion-welded pipe, which complicated the installation. Our crew successfully installed site utilities, including water, sewer, and gas lines. Crews also installed an irrigation system and a stormwater pump station to handle significant storm events.
Our landscape team has received and placed over 75+ large trees on the project and will continue to be instrumental in managing our landscape operations. With the help from our partners at CF&T Concrete Pumping, we have been able to place (belt) over 3,000 yards of imported topsoil on the project.
