The project includes the installation of over 4,000 linear feet of new utility lines, including sanitary sewer, storm drains, domestic water, and fire water systems, designed to ensure long-term reliability. In addition, more than 2,700 linear feet of outdated utility lines are being safely removed, clearing the way for a robust, modern infrastructure.
Site preparation efforts are well underway, with a 10,200-square-foot building pad graded to support the new Community Center. The team is also performing rough and fine grading for parking lots, roadways, and pedestrian pathways to ensure smooth transitions and a stable foundation for all flatwork areas.
Paving is a key component of the project, with nearly 40,000 square feet of on-site parking and roadway improvements in progress. An additional 11,400 square feet of off-site paving is being completed to improve access and enhance traffic flow around the facility. McGuire and Hester is carefully coordinating construction activities to meet deadlines and minimize disruptions to nearby schools.
The new Community Center is designed to strengthen the local community by providing a dedicated space for programs, events, and gatherings. The project also supports local economic development by creating jobs and stimulating demand for goods and services. Community members have expressed their excitement for the center, which is set to become a valuable long-term asset. Throughout the project, McGuire and Hester remains committed to safety and quality, with the team participating in regular safety meetings to ensure a secure and efficient construction process.
