Delivering a major athletic field renovation within an active school environment required careful planning, responsive coordination, and disciplined construction management. Originally planned for completion during summer break, the project encountered design changes that extended construction into the following academic year. Throughout the work, our team maintained project momentum while implementing measures to ensure student safety, minimize disruptions to campus operations, and support the school’s ongoing educational activities.

McGuire and Hester provided oversight of sitework activities including base course preparation, storm drainage improvements, asphalt paving, concrete construction, irrigation installation, landscaping, fencing, and athletic facility enhancements. The team coordinated procurement and installation of specialty features including a shade structure, picnic tables, and soccer equipment while managing design clarifications and evolving project requirements. The completed improvements provide San Pedro Elementary School with a durable, low-maintenance athletic facility that enhances recreational opportunities for students while supporting long-term campus functionality.
